Cargo Power Network is proud to congratulate our Dutch member Remiro Freight Services BV on the opening of its new bonded warehouse near Schiphol. The new facility in Hoofddorp is twice the size of Remiro's former warehouse and gives partners a modern, secure base for air, sea and road shipments through the Netherlands.
The move took place in September 2026. According to the official SEGRO announcement, Remiro now occupies 1,866 m² at SEGRO Park Amsterdam Airport, a logistics park built for time-critical, international supply chains.
Remiro Freight Services is a neutral and independent freight forwarder in Hoofddorp, operating right next to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The team handles import and export by air, sea and road, plus customs formalities and neutral handling as a third party.
Their core services include:
Air freight import and export via Amsterdam Schiphol
Sea freight through Rotterdam and other Dutch and European ports
Road transport across Europe
Customs clearance in the Netherlands and bonded storage
Neutral handling for overseas forwarding partners
The new site at Rijnlanderweg 766F was chosen for speed, security and capacity. Highlights of the facility:
Custom bonded warehouse, 2x larger than the previous one
Loading docks for faster truck turnaround
Two floors of office space for the growing operations team
Secured, gated entrance for cargo safety
Modern facility on a sustainably developed logistics park
AEO certified operations
Private parking for visitors and drivers
For shippers, a bonded (customs) warehouse means goods can be stored under customs supervision with duties and import VAT suspended until the cargo is released. That gives importers more flexibility on timing, consolidation and onward distribution across the EU.
Remiro is certified by Dutch Customs as an Authorised Economic Operator (AEO). The EU AEO programmerecognises companies with proven customs compliance, solid record-keeping and secure supply chains.
Working with an AEO certified freight forwarder can mean fewer physical and document checks, priority treatment when cargo is inspected and lower compliance risk. Read more about why AEO status matters in our recent story on CPN member Oceanside Logistics.
The Netherlands is one of Europe's main gateways, and Schiphol is one of its busiest cargo airports. With Remiro's new bonded warehouse, CPN members now have a larger, AEO certified partner on the ground for:
Air freight imports and exports through Amsterdam Schiphol
Bonded storage and customs clearance in the Netherlands
Consolidation, cross-docking and European road distribution
Whether you are shipping from Asia, the Americas, Africa or the Middle East into Europe, Remiro is ready to support your cargo.
